How long do I have to return my items?
Here at Thirsty Meeples we offer a 30 day returns policy that commences upon the day you receive your goods. Within this time you can return your goods for store credit or exchange. If a cash refund is requested for an online order (not including damaged games) instead of store credit or an exchange, then the PayPal or card processing fees we have been charged will be deducted from the refund.
Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since you received your goods we are unable to offer you a store credit or exchange.
In the rare circumstance you have received an incorrect item, please inform us within 48 hours of receipt and do not open / use the item you have received.
Can I return my items?
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unopened and in the same condition that you received it. It must be in the original packaging including the outer cellophane wrapping. In the case of book returns there must be no obvious signs of use.
We will NOT accept returns if:
  • The item has been opened.
  • The item has been damaged in return transit due to insufficient packaging.
  • The item is over the 30 day returns period.
Please note: Gift cards are non-returnable.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Shipping Costs & Returns.
Payments made for shipping an item will not be refunded as part of a return. Where an order qualifies for free shipping, Thirsty Meeples reserves the right to deduct the cost of shipping from the amount refunded for a return.
My item is damaged. What do I do?
In the unfortunate event that you have received an item that has become damaged in transit please contact us via email: Please include your name and order number together with a description of the damage. If you could also attach a photo of the damage this could help speed up the process a great deal. We need to be informed of any damage within 48 hours of receipt of the goods so please make sure you check over your product as soon as it is received. In all situations please do not remove the outer cellophane wrapping or otherwise open the game.
Please then await further instruction in reply from a member of our sales team. Emails are usually answered within 1 working day.

How do I return my items?
Returns can be made direct to one of our cafés. One of the café managers will be glad to assist you.
Alternatively you can return items to us by post. We would also ask that you do not put any tape or labels directly on to the product packaging as this will deem the product unsaleable. Please cover the product with packaging as best you can, ideally using an outer protective cardboard box, before applying any tape or labels.
Where do I send my items?
To return your product by mail, please send it to: Thirsty Meeples, Unit 5 Wroslyn Road Industrial Estate, Freeland, Oxon OX29 8HZ.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
How long will it take for my return to be processed?
It can take 2-4 days for your return to be processed once we have received the goods, please allow for this time period before getting in touch. When the return has been processed a member of the returns team will be in touch via email to confirm the action taken. Refunds are automatically applied to a Thirsty Meeples Gift Card to spend either in our webstore or in our café shops.
If you wish to make exchange an item for another item please email us at or speak to one of our managers at the café. In the event that extra payment is required for an exchange, a member of the returns team will contact your regarding payment.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
Cancelled orders
If a request is received to cancel an order prior to it being shipped, including for pre-order items, a refund will be automatically issued as store credit. If a cash refund is requested instead of store credit, then the PayPal or card processing fees we have been charged will be deducted from the refund.
