Marvel Champions: The Card Game Core Set

Had an itch for a Marvel themed game when I first had covid, bought it and played so many games when self-isolating! Have bought almost everything since and each pack gives you more options. I was new to deck construction games so enjoyed the challenge of building thematic and quirky decks. I usually play either two-handed solo or with a friend - this can lead to some super thematic decks and play interactions. Loads of great content creators out there too to help players delve into the world of this LCG. Cannot recommend enough!

Highly recommend this product for anyone who likes Marvel or looking for an easier/friendlier Arkham Horror LCG experience.

This course set will last you a fair amount of time especially if you experiment with hero aspects and villain difficulty. Lots of replay-ability and can be played true solo, dual handed or what I mainly do as a pair.

The box has an insert that can work as a temporary storage solution if you print off some dividers which is also a bonus.

Make sure to check out various groups/ deck building sites online if you are really wanting to try beat the villains on heroic as the suggested decks are usually not top tier.

This is my favourite Marvel game and one of my favourite card games. The game is a lot of fun and really captures the spirit of the marvel comics.

Marvel Champions serves as a very good entry point into LCG (Living Card Game) style games. This base box contains everything you need to play Marvel Champions and has enough content and variability to keep you engaged for a long time, so you need not buy anything else if you wish to go no further. However the game is constantly being expanded with new Hero and Villain/Scenario packs if you wish to delve deeper or just pick up your favourite Marvel characters to play with.

If you've played any kind of deck building/customisation style game before then this will be very easy to pick up. If not, don't worry, there are pre-built decks for each Hero and a handy quick start guide to get you playing in no time.

The game plays great at any player count from 1 to 4. It's a wonderful solo game, and also a great game to play with friends, especially if they're Marvel fans.

I find the game very aesthetically pleasing too. The artwork is lifted almost entirely from the comics as far as I can tell, and the graphic design and symbology has a very classic four colour comic feel to it which all serves to immerse you in the world of Marvel.

This game gets a resounding thumbs up from me.

I've never heard of thirsty meeples before ordering but there prices was better and the parcel was delivered to me the next day which is brilliant. As for the game I'm loving it, it's a great card game and a great core set with more on the way.

Great solo or co-op experience that allows you to play quickly and easily. Simple to learn but tough to master.
