I want to go back to Japan!

This is an interested card-drafting, point salad kind of game. There are 13 rounds, and you're picking up 1/2/4 cards (depending on the round), playing 1/2 of them and passing the other/s on to your opponents.

You play cards onto areas below your boards for a 6-day trip to Japan. Each of the days has a particular bonus icon, and you need to decide whether to play them behind or on top of current cards - the one you lay on the top is your 'highlight of the day' and that has extra scoring conditions on it - usually you'll have to have particular icons that day or the days preceding it. It's definitely worth trying to get these!

There are also mild physical and economical stresses, which make you unhappy, and zen and cheap activities that make you happy. Both of these may give or deduct points if you're not careful.

At the end of the week you score everything, so you don't know who has won until the end - I like that.

The cards are beautiful, and there are so many quirky activities - visiting temples, eating amazing meals, shopping, and visiting a cat café and letting the cats sit on you (which was mildly physically challenging, apparently!).

I really enjoyed it.

In Let's Go! To Japan, you are a traveler planning, then experiencing your own dream vacation to Japan.

The game consists of thirteen rounds in which players draw activity cards illustrated by Japan-based artists and strategically place them in different days in their week-long itinerary. These can't-miss tourist attractions will have you bouncing between Tokyo and Kyoto as you try to puzzle out the optimal activities to maximize your experience while balancing your resources. The game ends with a final round in which you ultimately go on your planned trip, activating each of your cards in order along the way.

The player who collects the most points by the end of their trip wins!
