Precognition

OVERVIEW

One goal: to embark and save as many Humans as possible during our journey. For this, Ymunes and Humans will have to collaborate. The journey promises to be difficult, the territories to be crossed will be hostile… We know that downstream the scourges sweep away everything in their path. We know that there will also be other dangers, that some will die there. But we are confident, we believe in our faculties of Precognition.

In a post-apocalyptic world, embody an Oracle of the people of the Ymunes and try, thanks to your faculties of Precognition, to save as many Humans as possible. Going up the Great River, explore the banks and collect contaminated Humans, Ymune Doctors to treat them, Ymune Protectors to protect the boat from the plagues to come, Energy Cells to activate the engine rooms, not to mention Food...

In Precognition, to win, you must truly anticipate the future. For this, understanding a new card allocation mechanism, which we have named Dual Select System, is essential. This game mechanic, in addition to being innovative, fits perfectly with the theme because, among the two cards that you will let pass, one of them will come back to you on the next turn. It's up to you to make the right choices.

During each game turn, you have 4 cards at your disposal: 2 cards in your hand that you have just drawn and 2 cards in your Decision Zone that the Oracle on your left gave you in the previous turn.

You must choose 2 cards that can be played this turn:

  • 1 card among the 4 cards available for you ,
  • 1 card among the 2 cards in your Decision Zone for the Oracle to your left .

The 2 remaining cards will go to the Oracle's Decision Zone on your right, one of them will come back to you on the next turn according to the same system.

You play and apply the effect of the card you chose to play and the card the Oracle to your right chose for you. Then a new round begins.

Your goal? Have as many healthy Humans as possible at the end of the game. To keep the Humans you will welcome during the game, you will need Food, Medics to treat them and Protectors to fight against the Plagues that threaten you . Finding Power Cells to activate your ship's engine rooms can also be very useful.
