portion of the price. For example, if you buy a game for £50, you’ll earn Meeple Stars on the net amount of £41.67 (the remaining £8.33 goes to HMRC), which would give you 125 Meeple Stars.

Meeple Stars.

4.   Meeple Stars can be redeemed either during webstore checkout or when purchasing games
at the café. Each discount can only be applied to a single purchase. If the value of the item is less than the discount amount, the remaining balance will be forfeited.

Uwe at His Best

This is one of the best Uwe Rosenberg games, if you enjoy Agicola, Le Havre, Caverna or others then this is a great one for you. On top of that if you enjoy Patchwork, Cottage Garden, Indian Summer, Spring Meadow or even Tetris then even better!

A Feast for Odin

The perfect game for a lazy Sunday afternoon! It's big , and initially it seems super complicated, but the iconography and the graphic design mean that once you get going it's really very intuitive. There's minimal player interaction, but the flip side of that is that it's satisfying even when you're not winning; you can take pride in whatever it is that you've built by the end of your 2-3 hours play session. Additionally, the occupation cards mean there's always variety, and a new challenge to be had! A firm favourite!

A Feast for Odin

This is a BIG game which has plenty of worker placement choices. The jigsaw puzzle idea is a great concept and adds depth to the game. Another fantastic game.

A brilliant game, even if you suck

I bought a Feast for Odin as a treat for my birthday and promptly played it with my wife.

I am a play by your gut and get immersed kind of player, whereas my wife is much more structured and will think out the best most efficient way to maximise scores. Consequently, I got absolutely trashed. But I did not care at all. I really enjoyed sending my little meeple Vikings off hunting to fill their bellies or raiding to fill their tastefully tessellated halls.

A wonderful game!

An awesome beast of a game

This is not a gateway game to introduce your friends to the joys of board gaming with. For that, reach for Agricola.

But for seasoned gamers, this is a wonderful game. Big, beautiful and as well-executed - in terms of both design and materials - as you’d expect from Uwe Rosenberg.

There are already plenty of reviews you can read about the mechanics so I won’t repeat all that, beyond marvelling at their elegance. What I love is the sheer educational value of A Feast For Odin; it helps you understand the drivers of Old Norse behaviour in their resource-poor lands. And the Almanac - a whole rulebook-size component that is totally unnecessary to the game but just explains atl things Nordic - marvellous!

Don’t make this your first Rosenberg game. But if you’ve already got one and like it, make sure you save up to get this for your collection too; I can’t see how this evolution of the design ethos can be bettered.
