Amazing RPG! No-DM Required =)

Organizing a D&D group, let alone finding a good Dungeon Master, can be a lot of work. With Gloomhaven: JotL, you can scratch that table-top RPG itch without worrying about a DM. How great is that?!

A prequel to the original Gloomhaven , Jaws of the Lion introduces the mechanics of Gloomhaven slowly, one mission at a time, so you are not overwhelmed with rules and mechanics. The audio narration through the Forteller app adds a lot to the experience and is totally worth the money IMO. Furthermore, the Gloomhaven world is its own thing, with original races and classes, so it doesn't feel like a rip-off of other RPGs. It can take a while to setup and take down, and some missions are quite challenging, but setup is more streamlined than the original Gloomhaven and difficultly can be easily scaled up or down.

Whether you are an experienced adventurer or new to the genre entirely, I'd highly reccomened Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion.

Great game

The biggest game I’ve currently bought and it has broken down the game play into easy learning scenarios so it is not overwhelming. Really good gameplay and pace for me (mostly solo player).

What its bigger brother should be

Significantly easier to get to the table than the big Gloomhaven box and no less meaty.

Great Built-in tutorial scenarios

The game naturally teaches you aspects of the game bit by bit in the first five scenarios. Could not be done better.

Great service. Awesome game.

Received an update as soon as this was available and when I finally managed to get my order in before the new copies were snapped up it wasn't long before a pristine new copy was at my door. I've bought this new copy for my parents who love cooperative games. Unlike the original Gloomhaven which throws you in at the deep end and has a very big unwieldy rulebook, Jaws of the Lion, a standalone game in its own right, eases you in. During the one day allowed with my parents over Christmas, I was able to show them the first couple of scenarios and they really got into it. This game is fun, right out of the box. I can't wait to give them their pristine new copy when this lockdown finally ends. On my own copy, I've nearly finished the campaign for a second time. It's not short; we've just not been able to stop playing it! And it is so easy to set up! I now see original Gloomhaven as an extensive challenging expansion for the superb game of Jaws of the Lion.
