Detective deduction

This is exactly what I wanted, which is a detective deduction game. You scan people cards to talk to them, and search locations, to solve the cases. There is more than one thing to find out for each case which you get quizzed on at the end, so in that way it's much better than a simple whodunnit - there's the why backstory, even with the easier cases. The cases are more interesting and realistic than most detective games I've played.

You can play multiple cases with this base set of cards and buy themed expansions. The kids version is particularly good, and interesting. Obviously no murder in that one.

It can get annoying scanning these shiny cards if lights are shining off the cards - maybe matte card protectors could help though?
But my main gripe is that the police grid thing and the location grids are just soo big when they are all laid out and you're playing. I wish everything was 50% smaller so it just wasn't soo cumbersome and could be played on a small coffee table, especially as I like to play solo and don't always play the whole case in one sitting (so i cant take over the dining table and i cant even fit it all on my portapuzzle). The cumbersomeness is the main reason I haven't finished all the cases Ive got and haven't bought all the expansions, even though Im sure the stories, themes and interconnectedness of the cases will be great.

Well executed and friendly

Plays like a smoother Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective. Played the first 2/3'rds of scenario one and have had a lovely time solving as a pair. Nice and open, but a little frustrating that we can't find out what _really_ happen'd if we get it wrong.
The VR scene stuff is a good gimmick but can easily miss things.

This game brings welcomed innovation

What a game!

This is a fantastic game! Good interactivity with the app and cards (coming from a techie nerd). People who love mystery and crime genre of any media will find this game fun and engaging. Yes scanning the codes does get a little repetitive but as long as the phone gets passed around to give yourself a break you should be fine!

Chronicles of Scan

Great game, intuitive and fun. Although the constant QR code scanning can become tedious/repetitive. Thoroughly recommend however.
