Very good game

I bought this game to play with my 6 and 11 year old children. The 6 year old absolutely loves this game. The rules are simple at first but get gradually more complicated as you progress within the game. You get stickers to fill in a progress sheet, and get to open envelopes containing new game rules and pieces. This is my son's favourite part, which makes the game quite addictive! He is set on buying the next instalment, Zombie Teenz Evolution. Personally I didn't love the game as much as he did, but hey, it's meant for his enjoyment, not mine.

Brilliant co-op for (usually impatient) younger gamers

My 7 year old thinks this is the best board game ever. It's definitely up there. You can complete a game in less than 10 minutes but as you unlock missions it can take up to 20 mins (so far). The unlocking keeps the challenge up and doesn't let gameplay get boring for older players whilst at the same time giving younger ones a chance to get to grips with the rules. Its a simple premise of a game but taxing enough when you start opening envelopes. The coop means that there are no single losers, which is great for younger players prone to tantrums :) Great for building up team skills and might even make other board games seem less of a challenge. Also, zombies. Love zombies.

Zombie Kidz ideal for kids and adults

Such a great game! This is easy to get started, in fact you will be playing a game within a couple of minutes of opening the box. The cool thing is that the more you play, the better the game gets. As you complete each round of the game, with each one being between 10 to 20 minutes long at the most, you win awards and trophies for completing tasks and winning - these can be thought of as like the achievement system on Xbox or Trophies on the PlayStation. As you gain these awards you get to open envelopes along the way at various stages that then introduce new rules that make the game more challenging and even more fun to play. This gives Zombie Kidz a fantastic learning curve for children of all ages. All the components in the game are great quality too with so much replay value. Myself and my 8 year old nephew often play a bunch of games at once as he loves opening the envelopes and working through the achievements. Highly recommended for adult board gamers that want to introduce children to the more tactical side of board gaming, plus it's a hell of a lot of fun.

7 year old loves this

Simple game mechanics. Easy to understand, yet with a good level of challenge.

There are stickers to track progress, unlock envelopes (legacy style) and a need to work together and talk through the unfolding situation in each, roughly 5-10 minute game.

Recommended.

Zombie Kidz Evolution is the first "legacy"-style game for kids, with basic gameplay similar to the 2013 title Zombie Kidz — but things will quickly evolve!

In the game, the young players are at school when zombies start to attack, infiltrating the entryways, then barring the way to classrooms. Players move through rooms and entryways to eliminate zombies and keep the zombie reserve full. If a zombie must enter the school but none are available, then the school has been overrun and the players lose. To win the game, players need to lock each of the four entryways as apparently the custodian has abandoned the post and given up the school for lost.

As players get better, they can complete missions, track their development through a trophy-sticker system reminiscent of video games, and open envelopes that contain new material for the game, upping the challenge they face while also providing them with new powers and new heroes as well.
