The base game and both expansions come together with deluxe components for the ultimate city-building experience of hidden alliances, shared objectives and strategic tile placement.

Founders takes you back to the beginning. In a windswept, snowbound landscape a band of explorers discovers a gigantic cave with a vast structure radiating out from it. Around this Hearth the Master Founders lay the foundations of what will become the City, home to the powerful guilds of I C E. Following the directives of the first Founders' Council and the requests of the first guilds, you design and build that City from scratch, competing for the title of Master CryoArchitect.

It is a tile-laying game with a twist of hidden alliances. Each player receives two District Design objectives from two different guilds, and each has a twin held by another, unknown player, so everyone secretly shares a goal with someone at the table. Each turn you place a neighbourhood tile into the growing hexagonal City, satisfying your own objectives and those of your hidden partners while giving your rivals as little away as possible. At the end only the lowest-scoring card in each objective category counts, so helping your unknown ally is essential, yet there can be only one winner. A shared scorebook adds a hint of legacy across games, and one element of Founders can even be used in I C E.
