Great game - but offputting rulebook
This is a great game which is a bit like playing chess but with only one type of counter. Its quick to learn although the rulebook is big and long and off putting. Basically you set out the board shape using the right number of tiles for number of players. Then you move your stacks of sheep counters by halving them each time, going in a straight line until you meet an edge or another sheep. The aim is to have more of your sheep covering the spaces. I don't know why the rules are soo long to say that!
The trick is to try and block your opponent's stacks so they can no longer split them. It's great fun! And suitable for all ages as long as your kids understand basic strategy. It's a simple, abstract game with fun theme (sheep are cute snd comical) but feels like quite a classic that we'll be coming back to. I do wish the sheep tiles had recessed images printed on them to avoid the images getting scratched though.
